Introduction
The Roald Dahl Foundation is a UK-based registered charity offering a programme of grant-giving to charities, hospitals, and individuals in the UK only. We support many varied projects, in exactly the same way Roald Dahl did when he was alive, offering practical assistance to children and families in two areas: neurology and haematology (from December 2008 the Foundation no longer funds Literacy projects). Since our creation in 1991, we have donated over £6 million in grants.
Introducing Us The Roald Dahl Foundation is funded in part through an endowment, as well as through additional fundraising. Notable supporters include the UK national sponsored reading scheme Readathon ®, the Friends of the Roald Dahl Foundation, payroll-giving, as well as many school children and private individuals who give of both their time and money. In addition to this, we benefit from the REVOLTING RECIPES series of cookbooks and through performances of an ambitious programme of new orchestral music, based on Roald Dahl's stories and rhymes, specially commissioned on our behalf. You can find out more about these commissions by clicking here.

Matilda Bag Book
BAG BOOKS

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of its publication, the popular Roald Dahl story “Matilda” has been adapted as a Bag Book. Bag Books are a charity who have been designing and producing multi-sensory stories for many years. Matilda is the first mainstream book they have adapted, so we are delighted that it can now be enjoyed by people with learning disabilities.
